Butter Dumplings

breads, cheese/eggs, soups, vegetables

3/4 cup flour
1 egg
1 tablespoon butter; melted and cooled
1/4 cup milk
1 tablespoon minced fresh parsley
1 tablespoon farina
Soup of choice for cooking dumpling

In a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients except soup. Mix well and let stand 30 minutes. Have the soup at a rapid boil. Dip a spoon into soup and then use it to cut off a small piece of dough. Dip spoon into soup and dough will slip off. Repeat with remaining dough. When all dumplings are in soup, reduce heat to a simmer. As soon as dumplings rise to the surface, cover pan and cook until dumplings are tender (2 to 3 minutes, or longer if dumplings are large). NOTES : Yield: 6 dumplings. 0 0 0 0 0 554 0
