Inn At Cedar Crossing Fruitful Holiday Compote

1 1/2 cup frozen sliced peaches; thawed
1 1/2 cup cranberries; chopped
1 1/2 cup apples; peeled sliced
1 cup walnuts; coarsely chopped
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar; packed
1/3 cup all purpose flour
1 cup rolled oats
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup butter or margarine; melted
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 cup brown sugar; packed
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 dash salt
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1 cup walnuts; coarsely chopped

In a large bowl, toss together peaches, cranberries, apples and 1 cup walnuts. Set aside. In a medium bowl, stir together granulated sugar, 1/2 cup brown sugar, flour, oats, 1 teaspoon cinnamon and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Add melted butter and lemon juice. Toss till combined. Add to fruit mixture. Toss to combine. Press into a greased 9x9x2-inch baking pan. Bake in 350ř oven for 35 minutes or till apples are nearly tender. Meanwhile, in another bowl, combine 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1 teaspoon cinnamon and dash salt for topping. Cut in 1/4 cup butter or margarine till crumbly. Stir in 1 cup walnuts. Spoon topping over hot mixture in pan. Return to oven. Bake 15 minutes longer or till topping is bubbly and apples are tender. Makes 6 servings. Note: Spoon into dessert dishes as you would a fruit crisp. Converted by MC_Buster.
