Xmas Desserts: Mincemeat Filo Parcels ch4 teletext 1/2 oz butter 6 rectangular sheets of filo pastry 12 tablespoon mincemeat Melt the butter. Preheat oven to Gas Mark 5/375F/190C. Cut filo sheets in half lengthwise, making 12 rectangles Cover the filo sheets with a clean tea-towel to prevent it drying out. Take one filo rectangle. Brush it with melted butter. Place a tbsp of mincemeat in a corner of the filo. Fold the strip of filo over the mincemeat to form a triangular parcel Repeat the process with remaining filo strips and mincemeat to make 12 triangular parcels in all. Brush with melted butter. Place on greased baking tray. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden-brown. Serve warm or cold. Converted by MC_Buster. NOTES : Filo pastry, available in supermarkets, is simple to use.
