Xmas Desserts: Kumquat Compote ch4 teletext 1 lb kumquats 4 oz sugar 1/2 pint water 1 cinnamon stick 2 cardamom pods Rinse kumquats thoroughly. Place kumquats, sugar, water, cinnamon and cardamom in sacuepan. Bring to the boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes. Remove kumquats to a serving dish with a slotted spoon. Boil sugar syrup in the pan for 15 mins until reduced. Cool and strain over kumquats. Serve. Converted by MC_Buster.
