The size of the Ornaments will vary slightly depending on the thread and hook used. MATERIALS - Bedspread Weight Cotton approximately: Dove, 15-20 yds white; Pineapple, 15-20 yds yellow; Tree, 10-15 yds green; Candy Cane, 10-15 yds white; Wreath, 10-15 yds green. Ribbon: Red 18" (for Wreath and Tree), Red 6" (for Candy Cane). CANDY CANE: Ch 47 loosely, work Cluster in 6th ch from hook as follows: [YO twice, insert hook in ch and pull up a loop, (YO and draw through 2 loops on hook) twice] 2 times. YO, and draw through all 3 loops on hook (Cluster made), (ch 2, skip next 2 chs, work Cluster in next ch) 7 times, (ch 3, skip next ch, work Cluster in next ch) across, ch 5, sl st in same ch as last Cluster. Edging: Working over beginning ch, (ch 2, sl st in next ch-1 sp) 10 times, (ch 3, sl st in next ch-2 Sp) 7 times, ch 3, sl st in last ch (at base of last Cluster), ch 3, (sl st, ch 3, sl st) in ch-5 sp, ch 3, sl st in top of 1st Cluster, (ch 3, sl st in next ch-2 Sp) 7 times, (ch 4, sl st in next ch-3) 10 times, ch 3, sl st in top of last Cluster, ch 3, (sl st, ch 3, sl st) in ch-5 sp, ch 2; join with sl st to 1st sl st, finish off. Stiffen. WREATH: Ch 56: join with sl st to form a ring (do not twist). Rnd 1: Ch 5 (counts as 1st dc plus ch 2), skip next ch, (dc in next ch, ch 2, skip next ch) around join with sl st to 3rd ch of beginning ch-5: 28 ch-2 sps. Rnd 2: Ch 3, dc in same st, (sl st, ch 3, dc) in each dc around: join with sl st to 1st sl st: 28 ch-3 sps. Rnd 3: Sl st in 1st ch-3 sp, ch 4, (sl st in next ch-3 sp, ch 4) around: join with sl st to 1st sl st, finish off. Edging: Join thread with sl st in any ch-2 sp of Rnd 1; ch 2, (sl st in next ch-2 sp, ch 2) around: join with sl st to 1st sl st, finish off. Stiffen. DOVE: HEAD: Rnd 1 (Right side): Ch 2, 9 sc in 2nd ch from hook; join with sl st to 1st sc (Eye): 9 sc. Note: Loop a short piece of thread around any stitch to mark last rnd as right side. Rnd 2: Ch 7 (counts as, 1st tr plus ch 3), (tr in next sc, ch 3) around; join with sl st to 4th ch of beginning ch-7: 9 tr. BODY: 1st Shell: (2 tr, ch 3, dc) in next tr. 2nd Shell: Turn; sl st in ch-3 sp, ch 3, (2 dc, ch 3, 3 dc) in same sp 3rd Shell: Turn; sl st in 1st 3 dc and in ch-3 sp, ch 3, (2 dc, ch 3, 3 dc) in same sp. Row 3: Ch 6, turn; sc in 1st ch-1 sp, (ch 5, sc in next ch-1 sp), across, ch 2, tr in last dc to form last loop: 11 loops. Row 4: Ch 6, turn; sc in next loop, (ch 5, sc in next loop) across to last loop, ch 2, tr in last loop: 10 loops. Rows 5-10: Repeat Row 4, 6 times: 4 loops. Row 11: Ch 4, turn; (sc in next loop, ch 4) twice, sl st in 3rd ch of next loop.
