Merry Cherry Christmas Cake

1/3 Lb Margarine
1/3 Lb Butter
3 C Sugar
5 Lg Eggs
3 C Flour; (Reserve 1/4 Cup)
1/2 Tsp Salt
1 Tsp Lemon Extract
1 Tsp Almond Extract
1/2 C Red Maraschino Cherries; Drained & Chopped
1/2 C Green Maraschino Cherries; Drained & Chopped
1 C Pecans; Chopped

Preheat oven to 325 F. Butter and flour a 10" tube or bundt pan. Cream margarine, butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time, beating until fluffy. Fold in flour and salt. Add extracts. Beat thoroughly until batter "slaps" bowl sides. Dredge cherries and pecans in the 1/4 cup reserved flour. Fold into batter carefully. Spoon into the baking pan and bake for 1 1/2 hours. Invert over cake plate until cake releases from pan. Note: Cake is lovely served as is.
