Cranberry Christmas Cake cakes 3 tablespoons butter 1 cup sugar 2 cups flour 1 cup milk 3 teaspoons baking powder 1/4 teaspoon salt 3 cups cranberries ***BUTTER SAUCE*** 1 cup sugar 1 tablespoon flour 1/2 cup butter 1/2 cup half-and-half Preheat oven to 350 degrees. To make cake: Mix together 3 tablespoons butter, 1 cup sugar, flour, milk, baking powder and salt; add the cranberries. Pour into a greased tube pan, such as a Bundt, and bake 40 to 50 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes in pan before turning out onto serving plate. To make butter sauce: In a saucepan, mix 1 cup sugar with 1 tablespoon flour. Add butter and half-and-half. Bring to a boil quickly, stirring constantly. Slice cake and ladle warm butter sauce over each slice before serving. Serve warm. Cake can be frozen and served at a later time.
