Holiday Ginger Snaps cookies 1 1/2 sticks butter 1/4 cup brown sugar 1/4 cup sugar 2 teaspoon ginger 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon allspice 1 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 egg 3/4 cup molasses 3 1/4 cup flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon baking powder Cream together butter, sugars, spices & salt. Add egg & mix thoroughly. Add molasses & blend. Sift together twice: flour, powder & soda. Add to molasses mixture & stir until blended. Chill well. Preheat oven to 375. Using floured rolling pin, roll dough to 1/4" thick on floured pastry cloth or board. Use a cookie cutter to press out desired shape. Place on greased baking sheets & bake 8-10 minutes.
