2 1/4 cup flour
2 teaspoon baking soda
2 cup raisins
3 cup whole candied cheries
4 cup cut mixed peel
1 1/2 cup currants
2 eggs; well beaten
2 cup ground suet
1 1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoon molasses
2 cup fine dry bread crumbs
2 cup buttermilk
1 1/2 cup almonds

Sprinkle fruit with 1/2 cup of the flour mixture. Beat eggs well, add ground suet, brown sugar and molasses. Blend in remaining flour mixture and the bread crumbs, alternately with the buttermilk.
