Here are the general directions for these ornaments that are called romance ornaments. Inflate balloon, being careful not to over inflate, as that would produce a stringy, stretched out appearance. Twist neck of balloon several times and tuck inside ornament using blunt end of crochet hook. Adjust ornament until it is well spaced and symmetrical. Step 4. Dry thoroughly for up to several hours. Drying time will vary according to temperature and humidity, therefore it may be necessary to keep checking for dryness. When threads begin to feel dry and somewhat rigid, deflate balloon. If the ornament collapses, re-inflate balloon and allow more drying time. Step 5. Ornaments can be re-shaped, if necessary, by wetting with a spray bottle and molding into desired shape. Do not allow ornament to get too wet or it may collapse. If this occurs, place balloon in ornament, re-inflate and let dry.
