Sweet Potato Casserole

7 sweet potatoes
1/4 cup butter (1/2 stick)
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 cup evaporated milk
2 eggs
1 cinnamon or nutmeg; to taste
----TOPPING----
1 cup crushed corn flakes
1/4 cup butter (1/2 stick)
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup pecans; chopped

Boil sweet potatoes in skins until done; cool, peel, mash and mix with remaining ingredients, except topping. Place in greased 3 qt. casserole and cover with topping mixture. Bake 15 minutes at 450 deg.

Yield: 12 servings
