1 cup oil
1 cup vinegar
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 small onion, chopped finely
1/2 cup ketchup
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt (optional)

Mix all together in a glass quart bottle that has a tight fitting lid. Store in the fridge. Keeps for weeks and weeks!! TO MAKE RUSSIAN: Add a couple of good shakes of worchestershire and about a cup of mayonnaise. Put mayo in a bowl, and slowly add the dressing, whisking constantly.
