Flecia Umpluta (Stuffed Flank Steak) ethnic, meats 4 cup toasted bread cubes 1/4 cup hot water 3/4 cup chopped green pepper 1/2 cup chopped onion 1/4 cup melted butter or margarine 2 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon pepper 2 single eggs, slightly beaten 2 single flank steaks 1 single salt and pepper 1 single flour 1 single fat 1/2 cup water Combine the first eight ingredients and toss lightly with a fork. Place steaks together and sew edges with cord, leaving an opening. Fill with stuffing, sew edges together. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Coat with flour. Brown on both sides in a small amount of fat. Add 1/2 cup of water, cover and bake 2 hours or until tender. Recipe may be halved and just put stuffing over one steak and bake, or roll and tie.
