ethnic, herbs, native

1 x no ingredients

Wild ginger is sometimes called the Canadian snakeroot and was widely used by the Indian tribes in the northern pparts of the US and Canada. The plant grows in shady woods. The leaves are an odd chocolate color and the flowers are picked and boiled in water. When the solution has been boiled down to the right consistency it has a strong smell of ginger. The root can also be prepared and boiled in water. The solution is then placed in the sun to evaporate. The resulting poder can be used as ordinary ginger.
