Dilled Onions appetizers, ethnic 2 each pearl onions 1-lb jars drained 1 cup sugar 2 cup cider vinegar 2 teaspoon red pepper flakes 2 teaspoon caraway seeds 24 each black peppercorns 2 teaspoon salt 4 tablespoon dill fresh and snipped fine Place drained onions in to 2 each 1-qt jars. Combine the vinegar, sugar, herbs, salt, & spices in a sauce pan. Brinmg to aboil then pour over the onions. Seal jar tightly, cool to romm temparature. Refrigerate for 2-4 weeks then you may open them to be served. Very good with vodka, beer, or as a compliment for a salad.
