Chili Relleno Casserole^ mexican, beef, chili, groundmeat, casseroles 1 lb ground beef, browned and 1 drained 1 chopped green pepper 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon pepper 1/4 teaspoon oregano 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder 2 cup shredded cheddar 2 cup shredded montery jack 2 can (4oz) chopped green chilies 4 eggs, beaten 1 cup light cream 1 tablespoon flour 1 can (8oz) tomato sauce 1 shredded cheddar, optional Combine beef, green pepper, salt, pepper, oregano, and garlic powder and simmer until pepper is tender. Mix cheeses together. Layer in 2 1/2 qt. casserole as follows: half each meat, chilies and cheese. Repeat. Combine eggs, cream and flour; pour over casserole. Bake 35 minutes at 350F. Cover with tomatosauce; sprinkle with additional cheese, if desired.
