Vegan Tamale Pie beans, low-fat, pies, vegan 1 tablespoon olive oil 1 green pepper 16 oz can tomato sauce 3/4 cup frozen corn, thawed 1 teaspoon ground cumin 1 pinch cayenne pepper 1 medium onion 2 centiliter garlic, minced 16 oz can pinto beans, rinsed 1 teaspoon chili powder 1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt 1 pkg favorite corn bread mix Heat the olive oil in a large frying pan over med hi heat. Add the onion, bell pepper and garlic and cook until softened, 6 - 8 min. Remove from the heat and stir in tomato sauce, pinto benas, corn, and seasonings. Pour into an 8 x 8 glass baking dish. Preheat oven to 350. Follow the directions on the cornbread mix and spread it on top of bean mixture. Bake for 30 min. Cool for 10 min before serving.
