Cheese Strata cheese, eggs 12 slices whole wheat bread 6 slices lean ham 4 ounces fat-reduced Cheddar cheese; shredded 3 eggs 4 egg whites 1 teaspoon dry mustard 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon pepper 1 onion; minced 2 1/2 cups 1% milk 1/4 cup minced sweet green pepper 1 1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce dash hot pepper sauce 1 tablespoon butter; melted 2 tablespoons freshly grated Parmesan cheese Cover bottom of greased 13- x 9-inch baking dish with 6 slices of the bread. Top with ham and Cheddar cheese, then remaining bread. In bowl, beat eggs, egg whites, mustard, salt and pepper. Add onion, milk, green pepper, Worcestershire and hot pepper sauces; pour over bread mixture. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Drizzle with butter; sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Bake in 350°F oven for 40 minutes or until golden brown. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
