Beef With Teriyaki Glaze beef - other 6 6-ounce boneless strip loin steaks; 3/4 inch thick ----Teriyaki Glaze---- 1/2 cup soy sauce 1/2 cup sake or rice wine 1/2 cup granulated sugar 1 clove garlic; minced 1 teaspoon minced gingerroot 2 green onions (white parts only); minced Enjoy with rice and stir fried broccoli, plus a hot-and-sour soup starter, and for dessert, a light refreshing sorbet. Teriyaki Glaze: In saucepan over medium heat, cook soy sauce, sake, sugar, garlic, ginger and green onions for 5 to 10 minutes or until liquid is reduced by half and mixture is thick and syrupy. Pat steaks dry. Line broiler pan with foil; brush rack with oil and place under hot broiler for 2 minutes. Place steaks on rack; broil for 4 to 6 minutes per side for rare or until desired doneness, brushing with glaze every 2 minutes.
