Sweet-And-Sour Meatballs

beef - ground

2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 onion; sliced
1 can (19 oz) unsweetened pineapple chunks
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup white vinegar
2 tablespoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon soy sauce
36 frozen basic meatballs; (approx)
1 sweet green pepper; cut in strips
hot cooked rice

In large skillet, heat oil and cook onion over medium heat until softened, about 3 minutes. Meanwhile, drain pineapple, reserving syrup. Set pineapple aside. Combine reserved syrup, water, sugar, vinegar, cornstarch and soy sauce until cornstarch is dissolved. Stir into pan and cook until sauce is clear, thickened and bubbly. Add frozen meatballs to pan; cover and simmer for 15 minutes or until meatballs are heated through. Stir in green pepper and reserved pineapple 5 minutes before end of cooking time. Serve over hot rice.
