Pork Burger Kabobs

4 green onions; minced
2 cloves garlic; minced
1/2 cup chopped pecans, toasted
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
2 tablespoons chopped fresh sage
1 tablespoon grated lemon rind
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon (each) salt and pepper
2 pounds lean ground pork

In bowl, mix onions, garlic, pecans, parsley, sage, lemon rind and juice, salt and pepper. Mix in pork. Divide into 8 portions; mould each around 8-inch soaked wooden skewer, pressing to form 6-inch sausage-shaped kabob. Place on greased grill over medium high heat or on greased rack on foil-lined baking sheet; close lid and cook, turning once, for 6 minutes per side, or broil for 10 minutes per side, or until no longer pink inside.
