Barbecued Steak Creole

2 T-bone steaks; 1-inch thick
1 1/2 cups beer
1/3 cup olive oil or salad oil
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon salt
3/4 teaspoon black pepper
4 cloves

Combine the beer, olive or salad oil, honey, salt, black pepper and clove n a flat dish. Put the steaks into the marinade and leave to marinate for 12 hours turning occasionally. When the charcoal is tinged with grey, cook the steak one side, brush the upper side with the marinade juices, turn the steaks and cook the other side.
