Chocolate Fudge Pudding

1 cup all-purpose flour
2/3 cup granulated sugar
3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons butter
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1 cup milk
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
----Sauce----
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1 3/4 cups boiling water

In bowl, mix together flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder and salt; with pastry blender or two knives, cut in butter until in course crumbs. Stir in nuts. Add milk and vanilla, stirring to mix well. Spoon into greased 6 cup saucepan or 8 inch square cake pan. Sauce: Combine brown sugar and cocoa; sprinkle over batter. Pour boiling water over top. Cover and cook over medium heat or bake, uncovered, in 350ºF oven for 30 to 35 minutes or until top is firm to the touch. Let stand for 10 minutes.
