Bone Buns breads 1 teaspoon granulated sugar 1 cup lukewarm water 1 package active dry yeast 3 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon salt 1 egg; beaten 2 tablespoons sesame or poppy seeds In large bowl, dissolve sugar in lukewarm water; sprinkle yeast over top. Let stand for 10 minutes or until frothy. Stir yeast mixture down. Mix flour with salt. With wooden spoon, gradually stir about 2 3/4 cups flour mixture into yeast mixture to make stiff dough. Turn dough out onto lightly floured surface; knead in remaining flour to make smooth dough, about 15 minutes. Place in greased bowl, turning to grease all over; cover and let rise until doubled in bulk, about 1 hour. Punch down dough. cut off small pieces and roll into 4 inch long logs; pinch ends to resemble joints of bone. Place on greased baking sheets. Brush with egg; sprinkle with sesame seeds.
