Hot Apple Wine

1/2 cup raisins
1 cup light rum
6 cups apple wine or hard cider
2 cups orange juice
1/3 cup brown sugar
6 whole cloves
2 cinnamon sticks
1 orange; sliced

In small bowl, soak raisins in rum for several hours or overnight. In large saucepan, combine all ingredients and heat, stirring often, until sugar dissolves. Simmer gently until hot. Do not boil. Serve in heatproof punch cups or mugs. Food Exchanges: 0 Grain(Starch); 0 Lean Meat; 0 Vegetable; 1 Fruit; 0 Fat; 1/2 Other Carbohydrates
