Far East Burgers

bbq, beef - ground

1 pound lean ground beef
2 teaspoons grated fresh ginger
2 teaspoons hoisin sauce
2 teaspoons soy sauce
2 teaspoons dry sherry
1 green onion; chopped fine
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon vegetable oil

In bowl, combine beef, ginger, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, sherry, green onion and pepper; mix well. Shape into 4 patties. In heavy frypan, heat oil over medium heat. Add patties and cook for about 12 minutes or until no longer pink inside, turning once. Serve with stir-fried vegetables and steamed rice.
