Almost Instant Broiled Salmon Steaks bbq, salmon 1/4 cup vegetable oil 3 tablespoons soy sauce 3 tablespoons lemon juice 1 clove garlic; chopped fine 1/4 teaspoon grated fresh ginger 1/8 teaspoon pepper 4 salmon steaks; about 6 ounces each In shallow dish large enough to hold salmon steaks in single layer, combine oil, soy sauce, lemon juice, garlic, ginger and pepper. Add salmon steaks and turn to coat well; let stand for 15 minutes, turning steaks frequently. Remove steaks from marinade and place on greased broiler pan; reserve marinade. Broil for about 10 minutes per inch of thickness or until fish flakes easily when tested with a fork, turning once and basting frequently with marinade. Serve with delicate, pale green Shanghai bok choy, cooked with just salt, oil and ginger.
