Spiced Plum Apple Crisp

4 cups sliced pitted plums
2 cups sliced peeled apples
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
----Topping----
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
3/4 cup quick-cooking rolled oats; not instant
1/3 cup butter; melted

In large bowl, gently toss plums and apples with brown sugar, 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour, cinnamon and nutmeg. Arrange evenly in greased 8-inch (8-cup) square glass baking dish. Topping: In separate bowl, combine 3/4 cup flour, brown sugar and oats. Drizzle with melted butter and stir until crumbly. Sprinkle over fruit mixture. Bake in centre of 350°F oven for 45 to 60 minutes or until bubbly, topping is golden and fruit is tender.
