Garlic Bread With Cheese appetizers, breads, cheese, side dishes 1 baguette (French stick) 1/4 cup butter; softened 2 cloves garlic; minced 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley 1 cup shredded Asiago or fontina cheese Cut baguette in half crosswise; cut each in half horizontally. In small bowl, stir together butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley and pinch each salt and pepper; spread over cut sides of baguette. Place baguette on rimmed baking sheet; sprinkle with cheese. Bake in 425°F oven until cheese is bubbly and bread is golden, about 12 minutes.
