Basic Pizza Dough pizza 1 teaspoon granulated sugar 1 cup warm water 1 tablespoon active dry yeast 3 cups (approx) all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon salt 2 tablespoons vegetable oil This quick and easy-to-make pizza dough - Freezes well - a perfect make-at-home convenience food. Just add toppings to frozen bases and bake. In large mixing bowl, dissolve sugar in water; sprinkle yeast into water and let stand for 10 minutes or until foamy. Meanwhile, in separate bowl, combine flour with salt. Stir oil into yeast mixture. Stir in about half of the flour mixture. Mix in enough of the remaining flour mixture to gather dough into slightly sticky ball. Turn out onto lightly floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes or until dough is smooth and elastic. Divide dough in half or into 6 portions. Cover with waxed paper and let rest for 10 minutes. On lightly floured surface, roll out dough into two 12-inch circles or six 6-inch circles. Place pizza bases on baking sheets and - Freeze until solid, about 3 hours. Stack bases and place in plastic bags; seal tightly and return to - Freezer for up to 3 months. Food Processor Pizza Dough: Dissolve yeast as directed for Basic Pizza Dough; add oil. In food processor fitted with metal blade, combine 2-1/2 cups of the flour with salt. With motor running, slowly pour yeast mixture through feed tube. Continue to process just until dough sticks together, being careful not to over-process. Turn out dough onto lightly floured surface and knead for 1 minute. Add enough of the remaining flour just to keep dough from sticking to surface (dough should be soft).
