Pear And Berry Streusel desserts, fruits, pastry 6 pears 1-1/2 cups frozen unsweetened raspberries; or blackberries 2 tablespoons granulated sugar 1-1/2 teaspoons finely grated orange rind 1/4 cup orange juice 1 teaspoon finely grated gingerroot; optional ----TOPPING---- 2/3 cup all-purpose flour 1/3 cup granulated sugar 1/3 cup shredded sweetened coconut; optional 1/4 cup butter; melted Peel pears; slice 1/4 inch thick. In shallow 9-inch (10 cup) baking dish, toss together pears, berries, sugar, orange rind and juice, and ginger (if using). Topping: In bowl, stir together flour, sugar, coconut (if using) and butter; sprinkle evenly over fruit. Bake in centre of 375°F oven for about 45 minutes or until topping is light golden and fruit is tender.
