Bran Muffins australian, diabetic, muffins 60 gm margarine 1 teaspoon sucaryl 1 egg 1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda 1 cup bran flakes 3/4 cup flour 1 pinch salt 1 pinch grated nutmeg 60 gm currants Cream margarine and sweetener. Add egg. Heat milk and dissolve soda in this and add to creamed mixture. Fold in sifted dry ingredients and fruit. Spoon into 12 greased patty tins. Bake at 200deg C for approx. 15 mins.
